Kemin Industries to Spotlight Positive Aging at SupplySide Global
From 30 years of nutritional carotenoid excellence to gut health and the GLP-1 experience, global ingredient company to showcase science-led solutions designed to support healthier lives

DES MOINES, Iowa, U.S. (October 13, 2026) – Kemin Industries, a global ingredient manufacturer that strives to sustainably transform the quality of life every day for 80 percent of the world with its products and services, will return to SupplySide Global with positive aging at the heart of its showcase. At booth #6073, Kemin will explore how nutrition can help people live not only longer, but better – bringing together science-led solutions that support key areas of health throughout life.

As part of this positive aging vision, Kemin will highlight how advances in Lutein research are extending nutritional carotenoids’ applications beyond vision towards a wider impact on human health. The company will also spotlight its Gutopia™ gut-health platform and complementary solutions designed to support the GLP-1 experience.

30 years of human impact: FloraGLO® and positive aging
At its booth, Kemin will highlight three decades of FloraGLO® Lutein, the first and most extensively studied Lutein brand. With 130+ human clinical studies, scientific research of FloraGLO has established Lutein and Zeaxanthin as key carotenoids for health throughout life, with increasing evidence demonstrating its role beyond vision – including cognitive function and skin health.1

Visitors to Kemin’s booth will discover the importance of adequate Lutein intake and how FloraGLO can help bridge this nutritional gap to support positive aging. Despite benefits evidenced across life stages, the general population consumes just one to three milligrams a day on average – far below the levels research has shown to be beneficial.2,3,4,5,6 The science will also come to life with an interactive eye test, where attendees can receive a personalized FloraGLO® EyeQ score and insight into their own nutritional status.

Putting gut health at the center of aging well
As consumer awareness of gut health and its wider connections grows, it’s becoming an increasingly important part of the positive-aging conversation. Kemin is tapping into this opportunity with its platform of solutions for Gutopia.

Bringing together science-led ingredients that support gut health from multiple complementary angles, Kemin’s Gutopia portfolio includes BetaVia™, an algae-based beta glucan postbiotic for gut and immune health7,8, and ButiShield™, an encapsulated butyric acid ingredient for digestive wellness9. Kemin’s experts will be at the booth to help brands explore how these different approaches could help them support health and wellbeing across the aging journey via the gut.

Supporting the GLP-1 experience
For many consumers, weight management is increasingly connected to a bigger ambition: supporting long-term health and quality of life. In the US, 59% of people believe that their entire lives would improve if they lost weight, while more than one third (37%) believe it would help them live longer.10 This is not only helping fuel interest in GLP-1 drugs, but also other nutritional strategies for weight management as part of a long-term approach to health.

Responding to this evolving landscape, Kemin will highlight Slendesta®, a potato-derived ingredient for promoting satiety. By enhancing a natural satiety response, Slendesta helps support appetite control in a way that is gentle, non-stimulating, and aligned with the body's own fullness signals. Working through the gut-brain axis, it enhances the release of a gut hormone that delays gastric emptying and helps signal fullness to the brain, helping regulate glucose levels after eating.11,12,13,14,15 The ingredient can be used to complement GLP-1 therapies, help to maintain satiety while transitioning off them, or offer an alternative for people seeking non-medical appetite support.

A full portfolio for all ages and stages
Speaking on the upcoming show, Filipa Quintela, Associate Director Marketing at Kemin Human Nutrition and Health, said, “Positive aging is about helping people get more from the years they live – and nutrition has an important role to play. Nature gives us an extraordinary starting point, but scientific discovery helps us understand how its potential can be harnessed for health. Kemin’s 30-year journey with FloraGLO is a powerful example of this, showing how one area of discovery can open the door to new possibilities across the lifespan. Our offering at this year’s SupplySide Global is a celebration of being curious, following the science, and asking what might be possible to help our customers bring to life solutions which can transform people's lives.”
