HANOVER, Germany (November 12, 2024) – Kemin Industries, a global ingredient manufacturer that strives to sustainably transform the quality of life every day for 80 percent of the world with its products and services, is showcasing its solutions for the animal nutrition and health industries in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa (EMENA) at EuroTier 2024, the leading international trade fair for professional animal farming and livestock management, from Tuesday, November 12, through Friday, November 15.
Since its founding in 1961, Kemin has built a global reputation for innovation in the animal feed industry. The company has evolved from addressing customer needs to advancing food safety and improving human and animal health. Today, Kemin remains committed to transforming lives through science-driven breakthroughs that enhance animal health, productivity, and environmental sustainability.
At EuroTier 2024, the Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – EMENA business unit will offer a unique, interactive experience focused on sustainability and innovation.
“Visitors are welcome to ‘Feed Your Curiosity’ through hands-on workshops and informative sessions designed to tackle the feed challenges they face in their feed mill or on the farm,” said Ester Bolsens, Marketing Manager, Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – EMENA. "Through discussions at the Kemin booth with our experts, or through following interactive, daily sessions, visitors can learn how Kemin solutions enhance animal performance, boost feed efficiency, and optimize nutrient absorption, helping customers learn more about the role feed additives can play in more sustainable agriculture and become more productive and economically viable.”
During the four-day tradeshow, Kemin will host four sessions daily, covering critical areas of animal nutrition and feed production. These sessions will provide valuable insights, trends, and practical tools for customers to implement. The sessions will repeat each day at different times, allowing flexibility in attendance. Each session focuses on a key topic.
The first session, “Detecting Intestinal Health Challenges in Pigs and Poultry,” is an interactive workshop exploring how intestinal health directly affects pigs' well-being and how wet litter in poultry can be a crucial indicator of underlying health issues. Kemin’s unique wet litter and fecal scoring tool thoroughly evaluates factors like consistency, color, and form to give customers actionable insights into animal health. With rapid diagnostic tools and interactive scoring exercises, customers gain hands-on experience in identifying issues and making quick, informed decisions to improve welfare, reduce disease, and increase on-farm productivity.
The second session, “Research-Backed Solutions for Ruminant Transition Management,” concerns management of the health and well-being of ruminants during their transition phase, which is critical for long-term success. Effective transition phase management emphasizes minimizing stress and optimizing nutrition to ensure that cows transition smoothly from the dry period to lactation. This session will provide expert guidance on enhancing overall herd productivity, health, and reproduction performance during this phase. Presenters will explore various solutions to support healthier transitions, helping customers achieve more productivity and efficiency in dairy operations.
The third session, “Cutting-Edge Solutions for Safe and Efficient Feed Processing,” addresses how healthy, high-performing animals rely on safe, high-quality feed. This session provides practical solutions to prevent contamination and protect animals. Attendees will learn to identify and mitigate risks to quickly ensure safe feed. Experts will guide attendees through detecting issues like Salmonella and other contaminants and offer strategies to maintain feed safety and quality. During this session, participants will explore cutting-edge technologies to keep feed processing safe, efficient, and contamination-free, contributing to profitable and sustainable feed production. The session also covers advances in engineering and digital technology for process standardization, profitability, and feed safety in animal production.
The fourth session highlights nutrient absorption, the essential link to truly achieving the most out of diets. To achieve the highest and most economical feed efficiency in pigs and poultry, it is critical to implement a dietary strategy that, in addition to optimizing digestibility, also focuses on maximizing nutrient uptake in the gut. In this session, attendees will learn why stimulating nutrient absorption is essential to achieve the most out of ruminant diets; what new scientific insights have been generated to steer future innovations; and which nutritional tools and services exist to maximize feed potential for healthier and more resilient livestock at a higher net income.
Join Kemin at EuroTier 2024 to explore these topics and more. Visitors to Kemin’s booth and sessions can feed their curiosity and discover how Kemin's innovative solutions can help customers achieve greater success in animal nutrition and health.
