DES MOINES, Iowa, U.S. (March 26, 2024) – Kemin Industries, a global ingredient manufacturer that strives to sustainably transform the quality of life every day for 80 percent of the world with its products and services, recently announced the appointment of Charlie Peng to Country Manager – China for Kemin Human Nutrition and Health. Peng, who is based out of Shanghai, will lead the business unit’s global strategy and business growth in the country.

“We are pleased to welcome Charlie Peng to Kemin as Country Manager – China,” said José Piccolotto, President, Kemin Human Nutrition and Health. “Charlie brings 20 years of food and dietary supplement industry knowledge and business development experience in China to our team, and he will leverage his existing relationships to accelerate our business in the region. His previous roles in managing cross-functional teams will provide strategic direction and leadership as Kemin continues to grow and meet our objectives in China. We are excited to see the results Charlie generates with his leading efforts for the China-based Kemin Human Nutrition and Health team.”

As Country Manager – China, Peng will implement and adapt Kemin Human Nutrition and Health’s global strategy with a local approach to achieve long-term business goals. He will be responsible for overall financial results for the global business unit in China and will work closely with the global management team to establish long-term goals, implement strategies, and manage the China-based team to nurture key accounts and develop business opportunities to drive growth in the region. 

Peng brings more than a decade of industry experience and proven sales growth to Kemin. Prior to joining the company, he was Sales Director of Greater China for ADM Vland Biotech and ADM Deerland Probiotics & Enzymes. He also led Nutrition Sales for PB Leiner in Greater China, and held sales roles at Loders Croklaan and DSM Nutritional Products. Peng is currently an Executive Master in Business Administration student at the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom and will graduate this year. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in food science and engineering from Guangdong Ocean University.
