DES MOINES, Iowa, U.S.  (June 28, 2023) – Kemin Industries, a global ingredient manufacturer that strives to sustainably transform the quality of life every day for 80 percent of the world with its products and services, has received approval from the Thai Food and Drug administration (TFDA) of its beta-glucan ingredient for immune support, BetaVia^™ Complete, as a Novel Food in Thailand.

BetaVia Complete is derived from Euglena gracilis, Kemin’s proprietary strain of algae known for its high level of beta-1,3-glucan and protein content, which also contains essential fatty acids. After a thorough review of BetaVia Complete’s safety for human consumption, TFDA has allowed its use in food supplements as a source of beta-glucan at a dosage of 375 milligrams per day.
