DES MOINES, Iowa (June 19, 2017) – Kemin Crop Technologies, an initiative of Kemin Industries focused on providing solutions for commercial horticulture, has appointed Emily Fuerst to the newly created role of research and development director, effective immediately.

In this role, Fuerst will be responsible for leading the development of new and innovative crop technology solutions that ensure protection from pests, enhance defense systems and improve nutrient utilization. Leveraging insights from the Kemin greenhouses and plant science program, she will work with integrated pest management (IPM) managers, plant health specialists, pest control advisers (PCAs) and business owners to understand their challenges and ensure Kemin Crop Technologies’ products meet their needs.

“Emily is a respected scientist in her field and brings strong leadership to this new role at Kemin,”

“I’m committed to advancing innovation efforts with Kemin Crop Technologies and develop product solutions that will enhance and protect specialty crops,” said Fuerst. “Ensuring protection from pests, enhancing plant defense systems and enhancing nutrient utilization with rapid quality growth are key to helping growers become more efficient, sustainable and successful.”
